Alafiora is a private-pay psychological practice offering depth-oriented, harm reduction, consent-oriented, and sex-informed psychotherapy for love addiction, compulsive sexual behavior, and sexual trauma. The practice is HIPAA-compliant, uses encrypted telehealth platforms with signed business associate agreements, and does not bill insurance, so no diagnosis is shared with any third party unless authorized or requested by the client through an applicable release of information. Alafiora serves individuals in the states where the practice is licensed, with continued expansion underway.

The Psychologist

Dr. Esther Lapite-Garrett is the founder and sole practitioner of Alafiora, offering a white-glove, high-touch level of clinical engagement rare in outpatient psychology. Every client works with her directly, with no rotating associates and no case handoffs, and she remains personally and consistently engaged with each person throughout the full course of care. She participates in ongoing peer consultation and clinical training, and maintains her own personal therapy, so the work stays entirely and permanently focused on the client sitting across from her. Dr. Lapite-Garrett is licensed in New Mexico (PSY-2026-0031) and Indiana (20044074A), with additional state licensure and authorizations to practice underway.

Practice Policies and Rates

Alafiora's practice policies are outlined briefly here for anyone considering care. Standard sessions are priced at $300, with intake sessions at $475, extended sessions at $600, and clarity sessions at $175; sessions that run shorter or longer than these lengths are prorated accordingly. The concierge retainer begins at $9,500 per month. Sessions canceled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours' notice are charged in full.
